Innovative Finnish Pedagogy

We come from Finland, and our educational system is one of the best in the world. Our students routinely outperform their international peers in reading, science, and mathematics.

In Finland, coding, robotics, and AI are routinely taught to students on all grade levels, and project-based learning is the pillar on which this educational excellence rests.

Children coding

Founded to secure the future of our children

How do we know what our children should learn in school to be successful in the future? They may choose a job in the field of AI that may not even exist yet, or they may prefer a traditional field that will be transformed by a new digital reality.

We can be sure of one thing: whatever the future brings, our children will need skills such as abstraction, problem-solving, and ability to search for and analyse new knowledge.

Learning coding, robotics, AI, and ICT in school in creative hands-on projects enables children to master all the aforementioned skills in an organic way, ensuring a long-lasting impact.

Code School Finland team

About us

Code School Finland was founded in 2017. Our teaching materials have been co-created and tested in Finnish classrooms with Finnish teachers and students.

We currently operate in more than 20 countries worldwide both directly and via our network of strategic partners.

Our teaching materials are currently available in seven languages.

Computer scientist by education, our CEO & co-founder Kaisu had worked in IT industry for over 20 years. When Finnish schools adopted programming, this mother of three saw a resource gap at schools. There was a real need for a new kind of classroom materials and teacher professional development programs.

Since then, Code School Finland has helped thousands of educators to teach the skills of the future to more than 100,000 children worldwide.
