Common information on our policies
You have the right to verify and correct the information we have on you. You also have the right to remove that information, block direct marketing, transfer your data, limits processing and refuse automated decision making. Contacts in these matters should be to [email protected]. We will require strong identification.
Whenever possible, we choose secure servers within the EU. Some of our data processors may backup data outside of the EU. As data processors we have contracted the following, which all follow European data privacy legislation: Google, Hubspot, Finago.
The safe processing of your personal information is important to us and all data is handled as confidential. Our information systems and files are protected with the current standard of technical protection measures. Access to our registries requires a personal user account and password, which are only granted to personnel whose duties require such access. All personnel who handle private data are bound to secrecy.
Right to complain You are entitled to file a complaint to the Finnish data ombudsman if you feel we have broken privacy legislation while handling your personal information.
Customer registry
The registry contains both private people, organisations and their representatives. The customer registry is used to maintain our customer relations. This includes communications with our customers, contacts related to customer service, news, billing, and signups of customers to various events.
The registry contains information provided by the registrants: name, contact information, billing information, address, and other information provided by the customer. In addition the registry contains events and details about the customer relation, such as orders, payments, signups and contacts.
Information is collated from what the customer has provided or what has been collected by permission. We can also incorporate information from customer surveys.
In case of events for children, the customer is the custodian. In these cases the registry will also contain information about the child needed for the event, such as name, age and contact details.
Data is held primarily for as long as the customer relation endures. We record the information as has been provided by the registrant, and the information is updated as the registrant informs us. We will not hold any information for more than 5 years.
Marketing registry
The registry contains both private people, organisations and their representatives. The marketing registry is used to send news and updates, send marketing messages, and for direct contacting.
The registry contains information given by the registrant, such as name, contact information, and other information supplied by the registrant. Information is collected from contact forms or during other personal or digital interactions. Corporate data may also be collected from public web sites.
Unsubscribing from our mailing lists is easiest to do by clicking on the unsubscribe link in each of our emails.
Users of our online courses
Some of our courses are provided from our own servers at learn.codeschool.fi and they conform to this privacy policy as well as their own terms of service. Website users
When you visit our website, we record such technical details about your internet connection and browser as is required for the functioning of the website. We use Google Analytics for visitor analysis. You may block the collection of your information with a browser extension provided by Google. We follow our website usage in HubSpot.
We follow our Facebook ad performance with a Facebook pixel, which tells us how many people click on our Facebook ads. The pixel collect information only on users that have a Facebook account and who allow Facebook to access their cookies. We use the pixel to monitor ads and target group behaviour to target our ads to suitable audiences. The pixel does not identify individual people, but only provides anonymised and aggregated statistics so we can understand how people react to our ads and use our pages. Facebook users can change their own ad preferences on their Facebook account.
